There is hope in Christ alone
all my life and strength is in Him.
He is my Stone, rock and song

In Christ alone, who took flesh,
Almighty God was revealed.
But the gift of love that the Lord gave
rejected the people, choosing vice.
He gave Himself on the cross,
in humility he received the wrath of the Father.
I put my sin on my shoulders,
so that I live by death.

In the earth, like everyone else, He was dead
the light of heaven was enveloped in darkness.
But on the third day He won
resurrected from the gloomy grave
He is God and conqueror of all,
sin no longer rules.
Forever He is my master,
I am bought by the blood of a saint.

No fear of death, no guilt
everything is only by the power of Christ.
From the first days to gray hair,
to death, in Him is my destiny.
There is nobody and nothing
that will rip out of His hand
He will lead me to His home
My support is only in Him.

In Christ alone my hope is found;
He is my light, my strength, my song;
This cornerstone, this solid ground,
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace,
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease!
My comforter, my all in all—
Here in the love of Christ I stand.

In Christ alone, Who took on flesh,
Fullness of God in helpless babe!
This gift of love and righteousness,
Scorned by the ones He came to save.
Till on that cross as Jesus died,
The wrath of God was satisfied;
