"Садок священник" – это богослужебное песнопение, написанное Генделем в 1727 по случаю коронации Георга II. В оригинальном сочинении использовался текст из англоязычной Библии. Это один из четырёх коронационных антифонов, которые Гендель сочинил для нового короля Англии. Они исполнялись при всех последующих британских коронационных службах. Тексты для всех четырёх гимнов выбрал сам композитор – к неудовольствию священнослужителей, вынужденных совершать помазание монарха на престол под такие ужасные, как им казалось песни. Тексты, впрочем, были все из Библии, под некоторой только редакцией Генделя. В них повествовалось о восшествии на престол Иудеи царя Соломона, о том, как священник Садок совершает помазание, и о том, как народ этому весьма радуется, так что земля расседается о криков его. " Zadok the Priest " - This liturgical chant , written by Handel in 1727 for the coronation of George II. In the original text of the essay used the English Bible. This is one of the four crown antiphons that Handel composed for the new king of England. They performed all subsequent British coronation services.
Texts for all four hymns chosen by the composer himself - to the dismay of the priests who were forced to make the anointing of the monarch on the throne under such terrible as they thought of the song. Texts , however, were all from the Bible , some only under the editorship of Handel. They told about the accession to the throne of King Solomon of Judea , how Zadok the priest performs the anointing , and how the people of this very pleased, so that the earth rent with the cries about it.
Since that time, Handel created " Zadok the Priest" 265 years have passed and now the 1992 UEFA instructed Tony Britten come up for the Champions League anthem , which was then created. And the anthem was composed on the basis of Handel 's coronation antiphon . Academic Choir sang his church "St. Martin's in the Fields " (London) on three official languages of the League , English , German and French , accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra .
