KJ-52 посвятил песню “Dear Slim” Eminem`y в 2002 году (альбом «Collaborations»), а Eminem ответил ему в треке “Careful What You Wish For” (альбом Relapse 2009)(возможно он и ранее отвечал KJ`ю в каком-либо другом треке, но в данном уж явно всё видно и открыто. – примеч.)! «Collaborations» - второй альбом этого исполнителя и вышел он в 2002-м году, на лейбле Uprock records. В альбоме есть песня Dear Slim, ставшая первым синглом, песня возымела большой успех среди любителей Хип-Хопа. Песня была написана Kj, как послание Eminem’у и его поклонникам, выступив в программе TRL на MTV, KJ об этом прямо и заявил. Песня действительно написана для Эминема, чтобы он ознакомился с библией и узнал, что есть Иисус. Это вызвало негативные реакции со стороны многих поклонников Eminem`a, хотя некоторым даже нравилось и нравится, есть моменты к которым можно придираться, песня то не однозначна и явно автор/исполнитель рассчитывал задеть обширно, масштабно публику. Да к тому же KJ тоже белый, как и Эминем, и они оба находятся под влиянием Хип-Хопа с детства, и оба росли, впитывая традиции данной культуры. Христиане воспринимают KJ, как христианского Eminem’а, что KJ`ю раньше не особо нравилось, но после он понял, что к нему это прикрепилось надолго и смирился с этим. В итоге получилось даже лучше, чем думал KJ, так как христианская молодежь, любившая музыку Eminem’а, начинала активно слушать KJ, забывая про существование “Эминема”. Казалось бы банально, но факт, причём скорее это были люди в поиске чего-то и возможно музыка и творчество KJ помогла им это найти. Клип на Dear Slim получил ротации на MTV, а альбом в итоге был в лидерах по продажам среди христианских Хип-Хоп альбомов. И, кстати, официально известно, что одна из копий альбома «Collaborations» есть у Эминема, так как пастор, сотрудничавший с KJ, был на церемонии MTV Video и всучил Eminem’у этот альбом из рук в руки, со словами: “Обязательно прослушай”. Eminem ушел с церемонии MTV Video Music Awards с этим диском в руках! Слушал ли он его целиком? Известно только самому Маршаллу. Из 16 треков на Collaborations, почти все стали хитовыми, хотя для масс хитом номер один стал Dear Slim. Кстати говоря, Dear Slim не планировался KJ’ем для записи и этот трек, может быть, и не попал бы на альбом, т.к. он сам просто хотел его исполнять на живых выступлениях, но трек стал настолько удачным, что его упросили о том, чтобы песня вошла в альбом, а не просто исполнялась для своих поклонников на концертах. Альбом делался при помощи друзей KJ’я, а именно Nirva Dousaint, Pigeon John, Playdough, и John Reuben. «В 2002-м произошла интересная история, ставшая большим сюрпризом и благословением для Kj», - пишут в сети интернет. Один парень, который жил на улице, так как был бездомный, нашел случайно на тротуаре диск Kj-52, который видимо, был кем-то выброшен или забыт. В итоге парню удалось прослушать диск, услышать о Христе и прийти в церковь и пополнить ряды христиан. Когда Kj узнал об этом из письма, пришедшего к нему на E-мейл, он был просто рад.
