Во время пыток, истязаний и расстрелов в концентрационном лагере "Яновский" (г.Львов), всегда играла музыка. Оркестр состоял из заключенных, они играли одну и ту же мелодию — «Танго смерти». Автор этого произведения остался неизвестным. В числе оркестрантов были — профессор Львовской государственной консерватории Штрикс, дирижер оперы Мунд и другие... ...В Яновском концлагере под Львовом во время экзекуций оркестр из заключенных музыкантов играл "Танго смерти". А незадолго до подхода советских войск все оркестранты, прямо во время последнего исполнения этой музыки, ставшей символом ужаса, во главе с дирижером львовской оперы Мунтом и профессором львовской консерватории Штриксом также были расстреляны в духе вагнеровских мистерий и в подражание "Прощальной симфонии" Гайдна. Попытка восстановить звучание этого "Танго смерти" не увенчалась успехом - ноты не сохранились, а несколько уцелевших узников при попытке воспроизвести мелодию по памяти впадали в транс или заходились в рыданиях... In ... Yaniv concentration camp near Lvov during the executions of prisoners orchestra musicians played " Tango of Death ." And shortly before the arrival of Soviet troops all musicians , right during the last execution of this music , which became a symbol of terror , led by conductor Lviv Opera Munthe and professor of Lviv Conservatory Shtriksom also were shot in the spirit of Wagner's mysteries and in imitation of the " Farewell Symphony " by Haydn .
Trying to recover the sound of the " Tango of Death " was not a success - notes are not preserved , and few surviving prisoners while trying to play a song from memory fall into a trance and entry into sobs ...
