Омара Сантану по праву можно считать новатором стиля «Hardhop». Вдохновившись творчеством DJ Jellybean Benitez, еще в начале 80-х годов он тоже решает стать на путь диджея. И с того времени парень с Куинс (Нью Йорк) становится частью музыкального мира, сначала в роли диджея в группе «Dynamic Rockers Crew», а потом уже сам по себе работает вместе с подобными ему артистами, такими как Arthur Baker, Tommy Boy. Omar Santana can rightfully be considered an innovator of the “Hardhop” style. Inspired by the creativity of DJ Jellybean Benitez, in the early 80s, he also decided to take the path of the DJ. And from that time on, the guy from Queens (New York) becomes part of the music world, first as a DJ in the Dynamic Rockers Crew group, and then working on his own along with artists like him, such as Arthur Baker, Tommy Boy. In the mid-80s, he made several remixes for rap artists (UTFO, The Boogie Boys, Stetsasonic and Mantronix.) Having a great talent and good ability to make high-quality remixes, he makes a number of remixes for a wide variety of artists. Public Enemy, Janet Jackson, Simply Red, Quincy Jones, The Rolling Stones, The New Order, The Shamen and MC Ren of NWA all of them, sooner or later turn to Omar's talent. Dissatisfied with the state of the art in the music world, he bases his record label Tricked Out Recordings, and later the hardcore label H2OH Recordings.
