Since morning, the weather has been foul, the rain falling like a wall—
It is Nature weeping over us.
Together with the autumn, we shall go to our rest,
Waiting beyond the river for the final crossing.
Do not grieve; there are still so many of you left alive,
And you have a long life ahead of you on this earth.
