Учёба началась и ведь, Тебе сначала было страшно. Как просто можно заболеть Что может наша смерть иметь Десятки лиц… и боль на каждом. И несмотря на то, что ты, Как все студенты, брал от жизни Забавы, звёзды и цветы, Соблазну этой простоты Не мог внимать без укоризны. Ты кожей чувствовал всегда: «Если не ты, то кто тогда». Вот кто-то рядом упадёт, Лишь ты помочь бедняге сможешь. Ведь смерть за миг своё возьмёт, Священника не подождёт… А ты её хотя б отложишь. Тебя поднимут в пять утра, Не дав и толком отоспаться, Твой пациент огрёб инфаркт, Предвидел кто такой расклад? И вот – иди на операцию. И ты опять в который раз Кого-нибудь от смерти спас. Но так ведь может и не быть. Болезнь сегодня победила! Себя так трудно не винить, Не испугаться, не запить, А завтра снова встать за дело. Да, может быть твоя вина, Ты вечно этого боишься Но на ошибках мы всегда Учились сами, и тогда С самим собой договоришься. Скажи, чтоб не сойти с ума: «Если не ты, то кто тогда». Себя не надо обвинять: Ты сам всегда был аккуратным, Доверье смог ты оправдать И пациентов не предать Здесь повод есть не быть халатным. Ведь ты собой пример даёшь Своим сегодняшним коллегам.
