Hole in the Wall is one of the best known and most popular dances in the Kingdoms of Ansteorra and Meridies, and is enjoyed by many throughout the known world. It is one of the many English country dances, or "contredanse" described in Playford (1725) in the 18th edition of his book entitled The English Dancing Master, or Directions for Country Dances. Вторая пара коротко кланяется друг другу, обходит первую пару снаружи ( кавалер обходит кавалера, дама — даму), кавалер подает руку даме и проводит ее между каввалером и дамой первой пары до исходного места, после чего вторая пара вновь кратко кланяется друг другу. Первый кавалер и вторая дама коротко кланяются, меняются местами и вновь кланяются. Второй кавалер и первая дама коротко кланяются, меняются местами и вновь кланяются. Все четверо берутся за руки в кругу и идут шесть шагов по часовой стрелке до исходных мест. The first pair of short bow to each other, a second pair of bypasses outside (Cavalier bypasses gentleman lady - a lady), the gentleman takes the lady's hand and holds it between kavvalerom lady and the second pair to the original place, and then again the first pair of brief bow to each other.
The second pair of short bow to each other, the first couple of passes on the outside (the gentleman passes gentleman lady - a lady), the gentleman takes the lady's hand and holds it between kavvalerom lady and the first pair to its original place, after which the second pair again briefly bowing to each other.
The first Cavalier and the second lady short bow, swapped and bow again.
The second gentleman and first lady short bow, swapped and bow again.
All four join hands in a circle and go six steps clockwise to the original locations.
The first couple of releases the wrong hands, they held on to each other and a second pair of pass in the resulting "hole in the wall"; the first pair at this time is shifted to place the second pair.
