Слёзы осени падают с неба, На стекле оставляя след. Было яркое солнце и - нету, И небес глубины уже нет... Душит горечью тяжесть серая, И земля превратилась в грязь. Вот какая-то птица несмелая, Смотрит в небо, со стаей простясь. Не лететь над дальними странами И не видеть земли под крылом. Только листья зигзагами странными Опускаются с веток ковром. Не живые, но миг - долетели. Птица дышит, да нету сил. Всё заметней дыханье метелей. Эту весть ветер злой приносил. Слёзы осени падают с неба, На стекле оставляя след. The tears of autumn fall from the sky,
Leaving a trace on the glass.
There was bright sunshine, and now it's gone,
And the depth of the heavens is no more...
A heavy, gray sorrow suffocates,
And the earth has turned into mud.
Here's a timid bird,
Looking at the sky, saying goodbye to its flock.
It won't fly over distant lands,
And won't see the earth beneath its wings.
Only the leaves, in strange zigzags,
Descend from the branches like a carpet.
Not alive, but for a moment they flew.
The bird breathes, but has no strength.
The breath of blizzards is becoming more noticeable.
This news the evil wind brought.
