После сего Он проходил по городам и селениям, проповедуя и благовествуя Царствие Божие, и с Ним двенадцать, и некоторые женщины, которых Он исцелил от злых духов и болезней: Мария, называемая Магдалиною, из которой вышли семь бесов, и Иоанна, жена Хузы, домоправителя Иродова, и Сусанна, и многие другие, которые служили Ему имением своим. Когда же собралось множество народа, и из всех городов жители сходились к Нему, Он начал говорить притчею: вышел сеятель сеять семя свое, и когда он сеял, иное упало при дороге и было потоптано, и птицы небесные поклевали его; а иное упало на камень и, взойдя, засохло, потому что не имело влаги; а иное упало между тернием, и выросло терние и заглушило его; а иное упало на добрую землю и, взойдя, принесло плод сторичный. Сказав сие, возгласил: кто имеет уши слышать, да слышит! Ученики же Его спросили у Него: что бы значила притча сия? Он сказал: вам дано знать тайны Царствия Божия, а прочим в притчах, так что они видя не видят и слыша не разумеют. Вот что значит притча сия: семя есть слово Божие; а упавшее при пути, это суть слушающие, к которым потом приходит диавол и уносит слово из сердца их, чтобы они не уверовали и не спаслись; а упавшее на камень, это те, которые, когда услышат слово, с радостью принимают, но которые не имеют корня, и временем веруют, а во время искушения отпадают; а упавшее в терние, это те, которые слушают слово, но, отходя, заботами, богатством и наслаждениями житейскими подавляются и не приносят плода; а упавшее на добрую землю, это те, которые, услышав слово, хранят его в добром и чистом сердце и приносят плод в терпении. Сказав это, Он возгласил: кто имеет уши слышать, да слышит! Никто, зажегши свечу, не покрывает ее сосудом, или не ставит под кровать, а ставит на подсвечник, чтобы входящие видели свет. Ибо нет ничего тайного, что не сделалось бы явным, ни сокровенного, что не сделалось бы известным и не обнаружилось бы. Итак, наблюдайте, как вы слушаете: ибо, кто имеет, тому дано будет, а кто не имеет, у того отнимется и то, что он думает иметь. И пришли к Нему Матерь и братья Его, и не могли подойти к Нему по причине народа. И дали знать Ему: Матерь и братья Твои стоят вне, желая видеть Тебя. Он сказал им в ответ: матерь Моя и братья Мои суть слушающие слово Божие и исполняющие его. В один день Он вошел с учениками Своими в лодку и сказал им: переправимся на ту сторону озера. И отправились. Во время плавания их Он заснул. На озере поднялся бурный ветер, и заливало их волнами, и они были в опасности. И, подойдя, разбудили Его и сказали: Наставник! Наставник! погибаем. Но Он, встав, запретил ветру и волнению воды; и перестали, и сделалась тишина. Тогда Он сказал им: где вера ваша? Они же в страхе и удивлении говорили друг другу: кто же это, что и ветрам повелевает и воде, и повинуются Ему? И приплыли в страну Гадаринскую, лежащую против Галилеи. Когда же вышел Он на берег, встретил Его один человек из города, одержимый бесами с давнего времени, и в одежду не одевавшийся, и живший не в доме, а в гробах. Он, увидев Иисуса, вскричал, пал пред Ним и громким голосом сказал: что Тебе до меня, Иисус, Сын Бога Всевышнего? умоляю Тебя, не мучь меня. Ибо Иисус повелел нечистому духу выйти из сего человека, потому что он долгое время мучил его, так что его связывали цепями и узами, сберегая его; но он разрывал узы и был гоним бесом в пустыни. Иисус спросил его: как тебе имя? Он сказал: легион, потому что много бесов вошло в него. И они просили Иисуса, чтобы не повелел им идти в бездну. Тут же на горе паслось большое стадо свиней; и бесы просили Его, чтобы позволил им войти в них. Он позволил им. Бесы, выйдя из человека, вошли в свиней, и бросилось стадо с крутизны в озеро и потонуло. Пастухи, видя происшедшее, побежали и рассказали в городе и в селениях. И вышли видеть происшедшее; и, придя к Иисусу, нашли человека, из которого вышли бесы, сидящего у ног Иисуса, одетого и в здравом уме; и ужаснулись. After this He passed through the cities and villages, preaching and preaching the Kingdom of God, and with Him twelve,
and some women whom He healed from evil spirits and diseases: Mary, called Magdalene, out of whom came seven demons,
and John, wife of Khuza, the steward of Herod, and Susanna, and many others, who served Him with their property.
When a multitude of people had gathered, and from all the cities the inhabitants came to Him, He began to speak in a parable:
The sower went out to sow his seed, and as he sowed, others fell by the way and were trampled down, and the birds of the air ate them up.
and some fell on a stone and, rising, withered, because it had no moisture;
but others fell between the thorns, and the thorns grew and choked them;
and some fell on good ground, and ascending, bore a hundredfold fruit. Having said this, he cried out: He who has ears to hear, let him hear!
His disciples asked Him: what would this parable mean?
He said: it is given to you to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of God, but to others in parables, so that seeing they do not see and hearing they do not understand.
This is what this parable means: the seed is the word of God;
but those that fell on the way are the listeners, to whom the devil then comes and takes the word out of their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved;
but those that fell on the stone are those who, when they hear the word, receive with joy, but who do not have a root, and believe for the time, but fall away during temptation;
and those who have fallen into thorns are those who listen to the word, but, departing, are suppressed by the cares, riches and pleasures of life and do not bear fruit;
and those that fell on good ground are those who, having heard the word, keep it in a good and pure heart and bear fruit in patience. Having said this, He cried out: He who has ears to hear, let him hear!
No one, having lit a candle, covers it with a vessel, or puts it under the bed, but puts it on a candlestick so that those who come in can see the light.
For there is nothing secret that would not become apparent, nor secret that would not become known and would not be revealed.
So, watch how you listen: for whoever has, to him will be given, and who does not have, what he thinks to have will be taken away from him.
And his mother and his brothers came to him, and could not approach him because of the people.
And they made it known to Him: Your Mother and Your brothers are standing outside, wanting to see You.
He answered and said to them: My mother and my brothers are those who listen to the word of God and do it.
One day He entered with His disciples into a boat and said to them: Let us cross over to the other side of the lake. And they went.
During their voyage, He fell asleep. A stormy wind arose on the lake, and waves filled them, and they were in danger.
And coming up, they woke Him up and said: Master! Mentor! perishing. But He, having risen, forbade the wind and the stirring of the water; and they stopped, and there was silence.
Then He said to them: Where is your faith? But in fear and wonder, they said to one another: Who is this that commands the winds and the water, and obey Him?
And they sailed into the country of the Gadarenes, which lies opposite Galilee.
When He went ashore, a man from the city met Him, possessed by demons for a long time, and who did not wear clothes, and lived not in a house, but in graves.
When he saw Jesus, he cried out, fell before Him and with a loud voice said: What is it to you, Jesus, the Son of the Most High God? I beg You, do not torment me.
For Jesus commanded the unclean spirit to come out of this man, because he tormented him for a long time, so that he was bound with chains and bonds, keeping him safe; but he broke the bonds and was driven by the demon into the wilderness.
Jesus asked him: what is your name? He said, Legion, because many demons entered into him.
And they asked Jesus not to command them to go into the abyss.
A large herd of pigs was grazing on the mountain; and the demons asked Him to allow them to enter them. He let them.
The demons, emerging from the man, entered the pigs, and the herd rushed from the steepness into the lake and drowned.
The shepherds, seeing what had happened, ran and told in the city and in the villages.
And they went out to see what had happened; and when they came to Jesus, they found the man out of whom the demons had come out, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed and of sound mind; and were horrified.
Those who saw told them how the demoniac was healed
