В пустыне знойной и безводной Где землю солнце золотит Душа, в томленье изнывая К Тебе, молитвой воспарит! In the scorching, waterless desert
Where the sun gilds the earth
The soul, languishing in languor
Will soar to You in prayer!
I saw Your light in the silent temple
And contemplated Your glory, which mortals cannot heed
Only Your grace grants me happiness
And by mercy I am given life to accept
You are my strength
You are my fortress and protection
You lead me through the darkness of the night with Your hand
You are my joy
My soul is hidden in You
You will preserve me, You are my life, my peace
My lips, filled with song
Praise God in life's difficult hour
My spirit rejoices, forgetting doubt
To You I raise my hands and the voice of my heart
Shine like the sun, tenderly in my heart
Words resound like an eternal hymn of love
In Your radiance I live serenely
You illuminate my path in this world
You are my strength
You are my fortress and protection
You lead me through the darkness of the night with Your hand

You saturate my soul with milk and honey
When at night I ponder heavenly things
I remember You and hear Your word

You are my help, my constant stronghold
Under the wings of heaven I find rest

By the right hand of the God of hosts I am guarded on every day
You are my strength

And those who wrongly seek my destruction
Will descend into darkness, into the underworld
A sword strike will crush their malice, they will not seek
Prey for foxes in the night
The king will rejoice in Almighty God
He who has found in Him Shelter, and make a covenant.
The lips of lies that trampled upon the truth will be silenced.
And the truth will shine forth like the bright light of the sun!
You are my strength.

Whether I am in the desert or in a majestic temple,
I strive for You, through the darkness of earthly paths.
