Ложатся сумерки на город, И в окна зажигают свет, Уже совсем стемнеет скоро, И суета сойдет на нет. Поддавшись сну, замолкнут люди, И вместе с ними до утра Исчезнет ложь, затихнет грубость, Уснет под одеялом глупость, И полость сгинет без следа. Прекрасна ночь, и гибнет зло, И мир так чист, так непорочен. Ты настежь распахни окно И вслушайся в безмолвье ночи, Вглядись в густую темноту, Потом закрой глаза и думай О жизни, людях, о себе, О чем давно хотел подумать. Но торопись! Dusk falls on the city,
And lights are turned on in the windows,

And the world is so pure, so innocent.
Open the window wide open
And listen to the silence of the night,
Look into the thick darkness,
Then close your eyes and think
About life, people, about yourself,
What you have long wanted to think about.
But hurry! After all, the new day
Won't keep you waiting for long,
And only under the eyes will the shadow
Leave a trace of a sleepless night...
