1 Величие высоты, твердь чистоты, вид неба в славном явлении! 2 Солнце, когда оно является, возвещает о них при восходе: чудное создание, дело Всевышнего! 3 В полдень свой оно иссушает землю, и пред жаром его кто устоит? 4 Распаляют горн для работ плавильных, но втрое сильнее солнце палит горы: дыша пламенем огня и блистая лучами, оно ослепляет глаза. 5 Велик Господь, Который сотворил его, и по слову Его оно поспешно пробегает путь свой. 6 И луна всем в свое время служит указанием времен и знамением века: 7 от луны - указание праздника; свет ее умаляется по достижении ею полноты; 8 месяц называется по имени ее; она дивно возрастает в своем изменении; 9 это - глава вышних строев; она сияет на тверди небесной; 10 красота неба, слава звезд, блестящее украшение, владыка на высотах! 11 По слову Святаго звезды стоят по чину и не устают на страже своей. 12 Взгляни на радугу, и прославь Сотворившего ее: прекрасна она в сиянии своем! 13 Величественным кругом своим она обнимает небо; руки Всевышнего распростерли ее. 14 Повелением Его скоро сыплется снег, и быстро сверкают молнии суда Его. 15 Отверзаются сокровищницы и вылетают из них облака, как птицы. 16 Могуществом Своим Он укрепляет облака, и разбиваются камни града; 17 от взора Его потрясаются горы, и по изволению Его веет южный ветер. 18 Голос грома Его приводит в трепет землю, и северная буря и вихрь. 19 Он сыплет снег, подобно летящим вниз крылатым, и ниспадение его - как опускающаяся саранча; 20 красоте белизны его удивляется глаз, и ниспадению его изумляется сердце. 21 И как соль, рассыпает Он по земле иней, который, замерзая, делается остроконечным. 22 Подует северный холодный ветер, - и из воды делается лед: он расстилается на всяком вместилище вод, и вода облекается как бы в латы; 23 поядает горы, и пожигает пустыню, и, как огонь, опаляет траву. 24 Но скорым исцелением всему служит туман; появляющаяся роса прохлаждает от зноя. 25 Повелением Своим Господь укрощает бездну и насаждает на ней острова. 26 Плавающие по морю рассказывают об опасностях на нем, и мы дивимся тому, что слышим ушами нашими: 27 ибо там необычайные и чудные дела, разнообразие всяких животных, роды чудовищ. 28 Чрез Него все успешно достигает своего назначения, и все держится словом Его. 29 Многое можем мы сказать, и, однако же, не постигнем Его, и конец слов: Он есть всё. 30 Где возьмем силу, чтобы прославить Его? ибо Он превыше всех дел Своих. 31 Страшен Господь и весьма велик, и дивно могущество Его! 32 Прославляя Господа, превозносите Его, сколько можете, но и затем Он будет превосходнее; 33 и, величая Его, прибавьте силы: но не трудитесь, ибо не постигнете. 34 Кто видел Его, и объяснит? и кто прославит Его, как Он есть? 35 Много сокрыто, что гораздо больше сего; ибо мы видим малую часть дел Его. 36 Всё сотворил Господь, и благочестивым даровал мудрость. |

Greatness of heights, firmness of purity, view of the sky in glorious appearance!

The sun, when it appears, announces them at sunrise: a wonderful creation, the work of the Most High!

At noon does it drain the earth, and who will stand before its heat?
4
The hearth is inflamed for smelting, but three times stronger the sun burns the mountains: breathing in the flame of fire and shining with rays, it blinds the eyes.
5
Great is the Lord who created it, and according to His word it hurriedly runs its way.
6
And the moon for all at one time serves as an indication of the times and a sign of the age:
7
from the moon - an indication of the holiday; her light diminishes upon reaching fullness;
8
the month is called by her name; it grows marvelously in its change;
9
it is the head of the higher order; she shines in the firmament of heaven;
10
the beauty of the sky, the glory of the stars, a brilliant decoration, the lord on the heights!

According to the words of the Holy Star, they stand by rank and do not get tired of their guard.

Look at the rainbow, and glorify His Creator: she is beautiful in her radiance!

With her majestic circle, she embraces the sky; the hands of the Almighty extended her.

His commandment soon pours snow, and lightnings of His judgment quickly sparkle.

Treasures open and clouds fly out of them, like birds.
16
By His power He strengthens the clouds, and the stones of the city are broken;
17
from his sight the mountains shake, and by his will the south wind blows.
18
The voice of His thunder makes the earth tremble, and a northern storm and a whirlwind.
19
He pours snow like winged ones flying down, and his fall is like a falling locust;
20
the beauty of his whiteness is astonished by the eye, and his heart is amazed at its fall.
21
And like salt, He sprinkles frost on the ground, which, when frozen, becomes spiky.
22
A cold north wind will blow, and ice is made from the water: it is spread over every water reservoir, and the water is clothed, as it were, in armor;
23
he devours the mountains, and burns the desert, and, like fire, burns the grass.
24
But the fog serves as a quick healing to everything; the emerging dew cools from the heat.
25
By His commandment the Lord tames the abyss and plants islands on it.
26
Floating on the sea talk about the dangers on it, and we marvel at what we hear with our ears:
27
for there are extraordinary and wonderful things, the diversity of all kinds of animals, the birth of monsters.
28
Through Him, everything successfully reaches its destination, and everything is held by His word.
29th
We can say a lot, and yet we will not comprehend Him, and the end of the words: He is everything.

Where do we take the power to glorify Him? for he is above all his work.
31
The Lord is terrible and very great, and His power is marvelous!
32
Praising the Lord, exalt Him as much as you can, but then He will be more excellent;
33
and, magnifying Him, add strength: but do not labor, for you will not comprehend.
34
Who saw him and will explain? and who will glorify him as he is?
35
Much is hidden, much more than this; for we see a small part of his works.
36
The Lord created all things, and granted piety to wisdom.
