И помни Создателя твоего в дни юности твоей, доколе не пришли тяжелые дни и не наступили годы, о которых ты будешь говорить: нет мне удовольствия в них! доколе не померкли солнце и свет и луна и звезды, и не нашли новые тучи вслед за дождем. В тот день, когда задрожат стерегущие дом и согнутся мужи силы; и перестанут молоть мелющие, потому что их немного осталось; и помрачатся смотрящие в окно; и запираться будут двери на улицу; когда замолкнет звук жернова, и будет вставать человек по крику петуха и замолкнут дщери пения; и высоты будут им страшны, и на дороге ужасы; и зацветет миндаль, и отяжелеет кузнечик, и рассыплется каперс. Ибо отходит человек в вечный дом свой, и готовы окружить его по улице плакальщицы; - доколе не порвалась серебряная цепочка, и не разорвалась золотая повязка, и не разбился кувшин у источника, и не обрушилось колесо над колодезем. И возвратится прах в землю, чем он и был; а дух возвратился к Богу, Который дал его. Суета сует, сказал Екклесиаст, все суета! Кроме того, что Екклесиаст был мудр, он учил еще народ знанию. Он все испытывал, исследовал, и составил много притчей. Старался Екклесиаст приискивать изящные изречения, и слова истины написаны им верно. Слова мудрых как иглы и как вбитые гвозди, и составители их от единого пастыря. А что сверх всего этого, сын мой, того берегись: составлять много книг конца не будет, и много читать утомительно для тела. Выслушаем сущность всего: бойся Бога и заповеди Его соблюдай, потому что в этом все для человека; ибо всякое дело Бог приведет на суд, и все тайное, хорошо ли оно, или худо. Смотрите также:

And remember your Creator in the days of your youth, until hard days have come and the years have come that you will talk about: I have no pleasure in them!
Until the sun and light and the moon and stars were darkened, and they did not find new clouds after the rain.
On the day when the guardians of the house tremble and the men of strength bend; and the grinders will cease to grind, because there are few of them left; and those who look out the window will be darkened;
and the doors to the street will be locked; when the sound of the millstone falls silent, and a man stands up at the cry of a rooster and the daughters of singing become silent;
and the heights will be terrible to them, and horrors on the road and the almonds will bloom, and the grasshopper will become heavier, and the capers will be scattered. For a man departs into his eternal house, and they are ready to surround him along the mourning street; -
Until the silver chain broke, and the gold bandage did not break, and the jug at the source did not break, and the wheel fell over the well.
And the dust will return to the earth, which he was; and the spirit returned to God, who gave it.
Vanity, Ecclesiastes said, all vanity!
Besides the fact that Ecclesiastes was wise, he also taught the people knowledge. He tested everything, researched, and composed many parables.
Ecclesiastes tried to find elegant sayings, and the words of truth were written by him correctly.
The words of the wise are like needles and like driven nails, and their compilers from a single shepherd.
And besides all this, my son, beware that: there will be no end to writing many books, and reading a lot is tiring for the body.
Let us hear the essence of everything: fear God and keep His commandments, because this is all for man;
for God will bring every work to judgment, and all the secrets, whether it is good or bad.
