(Книга Бытие 6; 7; 8; 9:8-17) Шли века, и потомков Сифа благодаря их благочестивому образу жизни стали называть сынами Божьими, а потомков Каина - сынами человеческими. Сыны Божьи, породнившись с сынами человеческими через браки, утеряли свою особую святость и под влиянием своих жен объединились с сынами Каина в их идолопоклонстве. Многие забыли страх Божий и надругались над Его заповедями, но на земле все же оставалось несколько праведных, боящихся и почитающих своего Создателя. Среди этих немногих были Ной и его семья. Нечестие людей стало так велико и достигло таких ужасающих масштабов, что Бог пожалел о том, что сотворил человека. Он видел, как велики на земле нечестие и развращенность и что все помышления человеческих сердец - "зло во всякое время". Более чем за сто лет до потопа Бог послал Своего ангела к верному Ною, чтобы известить его, что Он больше не намерен прощать развращенный человеческий род, но в то же время желает, чтобы люди ведали об этом. Сам Господь день ото дня наставлял и учил Ноя, готовил его к миссии верного и правдивого проповедника, который предупредил бы мир о надвигающейся гибели, так чтобы ни у кого не было оправданий. Ной проповедовал и в то же время строил ковчег, как повелел ему Бог, для спасения себя и своей семьи. Строя ковчег, Ной, по Божьему замыслу, своим примером убеждал всех, что он сам верит в то, что проповедует. Семейство Ноя было не единственным на земле, кто боялся Бога и повиновался Ему, но все же Ной оставался самым благочестивым и святым из всех людей, живших на земле, и именно его жизнь Бог сохранил, чтобы через Ноя осуществить Свою волю - построить ковчег и предупредить мир о надвигающейся гибели. Мафусал, дедушка Ноя, умер в тот год, когда начался потоп; было немало и других людей, поверивших проповеди Ноя и даже помогавших ему в строительстве ковчега, но все они умерли прежде, чем воды потопа обрушились на землю. Сооружая ковчег и проповедуя людям о надвигающемся потопе, Ной осудил мир. Бог всем предоставил равные возможности раскаяться в своей порочной жизни и обратиться к Нему, но развращенные люди не верили проповедям Ноя. Они насмехались над его предостережениями и подшучивали над тем, что он строил огромное судно на суше. Усилия Ноя изменить образ мыслей своих современников не увенчались успехом. Тем не менее он на протяжении более чем ста лет прилагал все свои силы к тому, чтобы побудить людей раскаяться и обратиться к Богу. Каждый удар молота, каждый вбитый в ковчег гвоздь возвещали людям о надвигающейся гибели. Ной взывал к людям, он проповедовал, он трудился, строя ковчег, а люди глядели на него с изумлением, считая его фанатиком и сумасшедшим. Строительство ковчега Бог сообщил Ною точные размеры ковчега и дал ему ясные и подробные указания об устройстве его отдельных частей. Во многих отношениях ковчег сооружался не как судно, а как жилой дом с основанием в виде лодки, который мог бы плавать на поверхности воды. Ни на одной из сторон ковчега не имелось окон, хотя он был высотой в три этажа, свет же проникал внутрь из единственного окна, находившегося в крыше. Дверь была с боковой стороны. Различные отделения, приготовленные для животных, размещались таким образом, чтобы через окно в крыше в них проникал свет. Ковчег строился из кипариса, или дерева гофер, которое не разлагается на протяжении сотен лет. Это было весьма прочное сооружение, изобрести которое человеческой мудрости было не под силу. Бог являлся конструктором этого ковчега, а Ной - главным строителем. Даже после того, как Ной со всевозможной точностью исполнил повеление Бога, было трудно поверить, что это судно само по себе выдержит неистовый шторм, который Бог в яростном гневе обрушит на землю. Завершающие стадии строительства ковчега проходили очень медленно. Каждая досточка тщательно подгонялась, и каждый шов старательно покрывался смолой. Centuries passed , and the descendants of Seth because of their pious lifestyle came to be called the sons of God , and the descendants of Cain - the sons of men . The sons of God , related with the sons of men through marriage, lost their special sanctity and under the influence of their wives united with the sons of Cain in their idolatry . Many have forgotten the fear of God and His commandments abused , but on the ground still had a few of the righteous , those who fear and revere their Creator . Among those few were Noah and his family .
Wickedness of the people was so great and has reached such horrific proportions that God was sorry that created man . He saw how great the wickedness on the earth and the corruption and that all the thoughts of men's hearts - & quot; evil all the time & quot ;.
More than a hundred years before the flood, God sent His angel to sure Noah , to notify him that he does not intend to forgive corrupted the human race , but at the same time wants people were in charge of it. God gave all an equal opportunity to repent of his evil life and turn to Him , but corrupt people did not believe the preaching of Noah. They scoffed at his warnings and joked about the fact that he was building a huge boat on dry land. November efforts to change the mindset of his contemporaries have failed. Nevertheless, it has for more than a century exerted all their efforts to ensure that encourage people to repent and turn to God . Every blow of the hammer , every nail driven into the ark prophesied impending doom . Noah cried to the people , he preached , he labored to build the ark , and the people looked at him with surprise , considering him a fanatic and crazy.
Building the Ark
God told Noah the exact dimensions of the ark, and gave him a clear and detailed guidance about the structure of its individual parts . In many ways, the ark being constructed not as a vessel , and as a residential house with a base in the form of a boat that could float on the water surface.
