Уродай сентября 2014, 14 сентября 2014 Здравствуйте! Снова пришло время считать собранные колоски; другими словами - смотреть какую новую музыку принесли нам поле первой половины сентября. Los Pacaminos - Jump Back Baby Это была группа Los Pacaminos. Судя по названию и музыке - из Мексики. Но как только мы начнем узнавать - что же это за группа, сталкиваемся с тайной. Почему-то в Mексике их никто не знает. Начинаем расследование и обнаруживается очень оригинальная история: группа Los Pacaminos к Мексике не имеет никакого отношения. Жил был в 80-е годы английский популярный певец Пол Янг, был хорош сам собой, пел хиты и был обожаем народом. Но музыку любил искренне и в свободное от исполнения хитов время собрал группу отличных музыкантов и играл с ними по пабам и клубам разную музыку, которая им нравилась; в основном, мексиканского наклонения. И назвались они Los Pacaminos. Уж давно Пол Янг не играет хиты, а Los Pacaminos играют с тех самых пор, уже больше 20 лет и на днях записали вот такую замечательную песню. Следующей песней будет произведение из нового альбома Эрика Клэптона. Альбом называется "The Breeze" и он целиком посвящен песням человека, которым Эрик от всего сердца восхищался полжизни, с которым дружил и записывался - великого мастера Джей Джей Кейла. Супергруппы - в том смысле, что в ней играют музыканты из других (весьма успешных) групп, а под неприличным названием они собираются только иногда - видимо, когда есть, что сказать; музыка у них - классический современный рок, сделанный по всем правилам, с безукоризненным вкусом и совсем не глупый. И есть на альбоме песня "Чемпионы Красного Вина" - с той необъяснимой загадкой, которая присуща лучшим из любимых мною песен. И разве я могу вам ее не поставить? New Pornographers - Champions Of Red Wine Я уже как-то рассказывал вам, что два года тому назад самый прогрессивный человек современной музыки, Бэк, вновь поразил всех, выпустив свой новый альбом в виде сборника нот, который каждый мог играть и петь так, как ему захочется. Действительно, если правду говорят, что "новое - это хорошо забытое старое", то нельзя не вспомнить, что именно так люди и знакомились с новыми песнями до появления грамофонных пластинок - доставали ноты нового произведения любимого автора, собирались вокруг рояля и пели новый хит. Нельзя не поклониться Бэку в ноги за смелую попытку ввести нас в "Бравый Новый Мир". Но, честно говоря, я - не умея петь по нотам - был уверен, что рано или поздно появится звукозаписанная версия этого альбома. Вуаля! Позвольте представить вам альбом "Song Reader", где песни Бэка поют разные крупные современные артисты - от Джэка Уайта до Норы Джонс. Но, как правильно замечает обозреватель журнала Q, лучше всех песни Бэка поет все-таки он сам. И вот песня, которую Бэк решил спеть сам. Beck - Heaven's Ladder В дополнение ко всем этим шумным новоcтям, совершенно не замеченный прессой, вышел сольный альбом Лизы Жерар, верховной жрицы музыкального феномена под названием Dead Can Dance. Про пение ее говорить бессмысленно - нужно просто слушать. Liza Gerrard - Blinded Новая британская группа Royal Blood ("Королевская Кровь") действует, исходя из бессмертного принципа "экономика должна быть экономной", и поэтому состоит всего из двух человек: басиста Майка Керра и ударника Бена Тэтчера. Несмотря на это, звуков они испускают много, потому что бас пропущен через пять усилителей и несколько дюжин педалей. Хотя они начали играть всего два года тому назад, их уже успели объявить "спасителями рока", Джимми Пэйдж приходил к ним за кулисы и публично выразил им свое одобрение. Again it was time to count the gathered spikelets; in other words, to watch what new music the field brought us in the first half of September.
Los Pacaminos - Jump Back Baby
It was a band of Los Pacaminos. Judging by the name and music - from Mexico. But as soon as we begin to find out what kind of group this is, we are confronted with a secret. For some reason, in Mexico no one knows them. We begin the investigation and a very original story is revealed: the Los Pacaminos group has nothing to do with Mexico.
There was an English popular singer Paul Young in the 80s, he was good-looking, he sang hits and was adored by the people. But he loved music sincerely and in his free time from performing hits he gathered a group of excellent musicians and played different music that they liked at pubs and clubs with them; mostly mexican mood. And they called themselves Los Pacaminos. Paul Young hasn’t played hits for a long time, and Los Pacaminos have been playing since then, for more than 20 years, and recently recorded such a wonderful song.
The next song will be a piece from Eric Clapton's new album. The album is called "The Breeze" and it is entirely dedicated to the songs of a man whom Eric wholeheartedly admired for half his life, with whom he was friends and recorded - the great master JJ Cale.

Next: the first in 4 years, the new album of the Canadian supergroup New Pornographers was released. Supergroups - in the sense that musicians from other (very successful) groups play in it, and under an obscene name they gather only occasionally - apparently when there is something to say; their music is classic modern rock, made according to all the rules, with impeccable taste and not at all silly.
And there is the song “Champions of Red Wine” on the album - with that inexplicable mystery that is inherent in the best of my favorite songs. And can I not put it to you?

I already once told you that two years ago, the most progressive person in contemporary music, Beck, again struck everyone by releasing his new album in the form of a collection of notes that everyone could play and sing as he wanted.
Indeed, if the truth is said that “the new is the well-forgotten old,” then one cannot help but recall that this is how people got to know new songs before the appearance of gramophone records — they took out the notes of a new work by a favorite author, gathered around the piano and sang a new hit. One cannot help but bow to Beck's feet for a bold attempt to bring us into the Brave New World.
But, to be honest, I - not knowing how to sing notes - was sure that sooner or later a recorded version of this album would appear. Voila! Let me introduce you to the album "Song Reader", where Beck's songs are sung by various major contemporary artists - from Jack White to Norah Jones.
But, as the Q magazine observer correctly observes, he himself sings the best songs of all the same. And here is the song that Back decided to sing himself.
