1. And it came to me the word of the Lord:
2. Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations,
3 and say, Thus saith the Lord God of Jerusalem, thy birth and thy nativity in the land of Canaan; your father was an Amorite, and thy mother an Hittite
4. as for thy nativity, in the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut, and the water you were not washed in for cleaning, and salt was not one shall be salted, and the linen cloths not povit.
5. No eye had pity on thee to his mercy to you to make you something from it; but thou wast cast out on the field, in contempt for your life, in your birthday.
6. And when I passed by thee, and saw you at the destruction in your blood, I said unto thee, "in your blood, live!" So, I said to you, "in your blood, 'Live!'
7. thee to multiply as the bud of the field; You grew up and became great, and come to excellent ornaments: thy breasts, and hair you have grown; but you were naked and bare.
8. And when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I stretched out my voskriliya Reese on thee, and covered thy nakedness; and swore to you and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord God - and you became mine.
9. Then I bathed you with water and washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil.
10. I clothed thee also with broidered work, and shod thee morocco sandals, and I girded thee about with fine linen and covered you with silk.
11. I decked thee also with ornaments, and put bracelets on your hands and on your neck.
12. And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head.
13. Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver, and your clothing was of fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, honey and oil, and was extremely beautiful, and a kingdom.
14. And swept the nations for your glory of your beauty, because it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.
15. But thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and taking advantage of the glory of thy whoredom, and lavished become thy fornications on every one that passed by.
16. You took some of your garments, and made for yourself gaily decked and played the harlot on them like never happen and never will.
17. And you took your fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I gave you, and made for yourself images of men, and played the harlot with them.
18. And you took your embroidered garments to cover them, and set before them mine oil and mine incense,
19. And my bread which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, and honey, wherewith I fed you, you even set it before them for a sweet savor; and it was, saith the Lord GOD.
20. And you took your sons and your daughters, whom thou hast borne me and sacrificed them to be devoured. You never know you were whoring?
21. But you have slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through the fire.
22. And in all thine abominations and thy whoredoms thou hast not remembered the days of your youth, when you were naked and bare, and wast in thy blood.
23. And after all thy wickedness, - Woe, woe! saith the Lord God -
24. you built yourself a brothel and made thee an high place in every street;
25. at the beginning of every road built thy high, hast made thy beauty and thy feet to every passer by, and multiplied thy whoredoms.
26. fornication with the Egyptians thy neighbors, great, and hast increased thy whoredoms, to provoke me.
27. And behold, I stretched out my hand upon thee, and have diminished thine, and delivered thee unto the daughters of the Philistines that hate thee, which are ashamed of thy lewd way.
28. You and fornication with the Assyrians, not sated; played the harlot with them, and yet not be satisfied;
29. moreover multiplied thy fornication in the land of Canaan unto Chaldea; and yet contented.
30. How weak is thine heart, saith the Lord GOD, seeing thou doest all these things, the imperious whorish woman;
31. When you have built yourself a brothel at the beginning of every road, and made thy high place in every street, you were not as fornication
