Эта ночь среди других событий Что прошли толпой под небосводом Никогда не будет позабытой И её не затуманят годы И страницы Библии листая Я к словам прислушиваюсь чутко И представить мысленно желаю В эту ночь свершившееся чудо Вдруг, нарушив ночи той молчанье Над землёю в небе тёмно-синем Словно флейты, звёзды зазвучали Радостно приветствуя Мессию И на стройность чудных звуков этих Озарив притихшие селенья Хор небесных жителей ответил Гимном ликованья и хваленья А земля молчала равнодушно Не заметив появленье Бога Лишь пастух простое пенье слушал Онемев от счастья и восторга Да следили за звездою яркой Мудрецы с волненьем и надеждой И несли Царю царей подарки Запылив дорожные одежды Вспоминая ночь святую эту Я хочу опять увидеть ясно Воинство, сияющее светом И солому Вифлиемских яслей И, расставив памятные вехи Прослежу душой, представив точно Трудный путь от Бога к человеку Начатый Мессией этой ночью |

This night, among other events
That passed in a crowd under the firmament
Will never be forgotten
And the years will not cloud it
And leafing through the pages of the Bible
I listen attentively to the words
And mentally wish to imagine
The miracle that happened on this night
Suddenly, breaking the silence of that night
Above the earth in the dark blue sky
Like flutes, the stars began to sound
Joyfully welcoming the Messiah
And to the harmony of these wondrous sounds
Illuminating the hushed villages
A choir of heavenly inhabitants responded
With a hymn of jubilation and praise
And the earth remained silent, indifferent
Not noticing the appearance of God
Only the shepherd listened to the simple song
Mute with happiness and delight
And the wise men followed the bright star
With excitement and hope
And brought gifts to the King of Kings
Covered with dust Traveling garments
Remembering this holy night
I want to see clearly again
The army, shining with light
And the straw of the Bethlehem manger
And, having set up memorable milestones
I will follow with my soul, imagining precisely
The difficult path from God to man
Begun by the Messiah this night
