2 года назад, Нидерландцы Epica выпустили альбом "The Quantum Enigma". Альбом выстрелил масштабнейшим зарядом и был очередным шагом вперёд в их творчестве. Масштабный симфонический фон, обилие хоров, всё такое же крутое сочетание "красавицы и чудовища" (в котором "красавица" - естественно, Симона, а "чудовище" - соответственно, Марк Янсен) и многое другое. И вот, два года спустя, Epica выпускает новый альбом под названием "The Holographic Principle". Говоря объективно, это попытка второй раз выстрелить в рамках "Энигмы" с некоторыми изменениями в музыке. Более "прогрессивные" гитары, Симона стала петь в своей новообретённой "зоне комфорта", а Марк стал наоборот лучше рычать. Ну и да, ещё больше симфоники и хоров. А субъективно - это просто хороший релиз в рамках "футуристичного" концепта. И, наверное, тут одни из лучших текстов из метал-релизов этого года. 1. Eidola 2. Edge Of The Blade 3. 2 years ago, the Netherlands Epica released the album "The Quantum Enigma". The album shot a massive charge and was the next step forward in their work.
A large-scale symphonic background, an abundance of choirs, the same cool combination of “beauty and the beast” (in which the “beauty” is, naturally, Simone, and the “monster”, respectively, Mark Jansen) and much more.
And now, two years later, Epica is releasing a new album, entitled "The Holographic Principle". Objectively speaking, this is an attempt to shoot a second time in the framework of Enigma with some changes in the music. More “progressive” guitars, Simone began to sing in her newfound “comfort zone”, and Mark began to growl better on the contrary. Well and yes, even more symphonies and choirs.
And subjectively, this is just a good release within the framework of a “futuristic” concept. And, probably, here are some of the best texts from metal releases this year.
