Stephen Albert
Kyau & Albert is a German trance duet formed by Ralph Kyau and Steven Moebius Albert, who was called until 2006 Kyau vs. Albert.
Ralph Kiau began playing electronic music in 1990, playing at several techno parties in Germany before publishing his first recording of Modulation Experiments in late 1993.
Together with DJ Shandy, he founded Harmony Recordings in 1993. At the same time, Stephen Albert began writing his tracks, and in the summer of 1994 Ralph and Stephen met for the first time.
They wrote the first tracks together for a live performance, and realizing that they have a common understanding of music, they decided to work together. The result was their first single, "Let me in," released in 1996. Since then they have become known as Kyau vs. Albert. Their small studios merged and they founded Euphonic in 1997. They were joined by Mirco de Govia, Sonorous (Rough Mullar) and Ronski Speed.
In 2000, WEA (part of Warner Music) drew the attention of the duo and entered into a three-year contract with them, starting their journey through dance music. The collective received support from such DJs as Paul van Dyke, Kaycee, Tiësto and many others.
In 2006, Kyau & Albert got into the world ranking DJmag Top 100 on the 48th line, and held out until 2010.
In honor of the 15th anniversary in the industry, Ralph and Stephen released the album “15 Years” in March 2012, which incorporated remixes of their best tracks from various DJs, as well as new works.
