10 years in a strict regime colony and a fine of 50 million rubles - this decision was made today by the Voroshilovsky district court against Alexander Otsimik, the former deputy head of the regional traffic police. Seven years of imprisonment was also received by Otsimik's accomplice - Shayhav Hajiyev. Both were accused of organizing the assassination attempt on the head of the regional state traffic inspectorate, Sergey Morgachev. The trial of Otsimik and Hajiyev lasted more than a year.
In March 2014, Sergei Morgachev was attacked at the entrance of his house. Two men beat the traffic police chief with batons. The attack was organized by his deputy Alexander Otsimik. Through his subordinate Artur Shahbazyan, he handed over half a million rubles to the perpetrators of the crime. Two natives of Dagestan, Kurban Izudinov and Timur Abdulaev, took up the matter. Shahbazyan brought Shayhav Hajiyev to them - he was also in the dock. Hamadiev’s brother, Magomed, is also involved in the crime, he is still wanted. To give evidence to the court, the head of the regional police, General Andrei Larionov, was called. Colonel Otsimik he described only from the positive side. Another time, injured Morgachev came to court. Otsimik reconciled with him publicly at the same time. It is worth noting that, in addition to organizing the assassination attempt, Ozimiku charged Alexander with taking a bribe - he allegedly took almost 2.5 million rubles to help him get beautiful numbers.
According to the court verdict, convict Otsimik will pay three million rubles to Morgachev from his fine, the rest to the state’s treasury. He also lost his police rank and the right to hold office in government for three years. When the judge finished reading the verdict and asked the journalists to leave the courtroom, the convict unexpectedly took the floor.
