Однажды правитель Византии решил послать в Багдад своего гонца, приказав ему задать мусульманам три вопроса. Добравшись до города, посланец попросил передать халифу, что он принес вести от далекого владыки. Узнав об этом, мусульманский правитель приказал пропустить его. Войдя во дворец, гонец сообщил, что у него есть три сложных вопроса к мусульманам. По сути, таким образом он бросал вызов всему исламскому обществу. Тогда встревоженный халиф приказал созвать к нему во дворец всех ученых города. Вестник взобрался на высокую трибуну, и изрек: «Я пришел к вам с тремя вопросами. Это был голос мальчика, который пришел на собрание со своим отцом. Он также спросил у халифа разрешения держать слово, и когда правитель дозволил ему говорить, византиец обратился к молодому мусульманину, повторяя свой первый вопрос: «Что было до Аллаха?». Римлянин начал считать: «Десять, девять, восемь...», до тех пор, пока не дошел до «один» и остановился. «Ну, так, а что дальше, после единицы?» – спросил мальчик. «После единицы нет ничего, это самая последняя цифра», – удивился византиец. «Если нет ничего после арифметической единицы, как ты мог подумать, что что-то могло быть перед Единым, который является Абсолютной Истиной, Вездесущим, Бесконечным – Первым, Последним, Проявляющимся, Скрытым?» - воскликнул ребенок. Чужеземец не ожидал получить такой прямой ответ, который он был не в силах опровергнуть. Тогда он задал свой второй вопрос: «Скажи мне, в каком направлении смотрит Аллах»? «Принеси свечу, зажги ее, – ответил мальчик, - и скажи, в каком направлении смотрит ее свет». «Но свет пламени свечи смотрит во все стороны: на север, юг, запад, восток... Он не смотрит в каком-либо одном направлении», – изумился мужчина. Услыхав это, малец воскликнул: «Если физический свет распространяется во все четыре стороны, и ты не можешь ответить, в каком конкретно направлении он смотрит, чего же ты ожидаешь от Аллаха – Света Небес и Земли? Свет над Светом, Аллах смотрит во всех направлениях во все времена». Византиец не мог поверить своим глазам: перед ним маленький мальчик, отвечающий на его вопросы так, что ему нечего сказать ему в опровержение... Отчаявшись, он было приготовился задать ему последний вопрос, но юнец опередил его. «Подожди! – предложил он. - Ты тот, кто задает вопросы, а я тот, кто на них отвечает. Было бы справедливо, если бы ты стал там, где я стою, а я бы стал на то место, где сейчас стоишь ты, чтобы ответы были слышны так же хорошо, как и вопросы». Это показалось чужестранцу убедительным, и он спустился с трибуны, на которой стоял, а мальчик взошел на нее. Тогда мужчина повторил свой последний вопрос: «Скажи мне, что Аллах делает сейчас?». Мальчик гордо ответил: «Сейчас, когда Аллах обнаружил на этой высокой трибуне лжеца и насмешника над Исламом, он заставил его спуститься, унизив его перед всеми. Что же касается того, кто верит в Единство Аллаха, он приподнял его и вложил истину в его уста. Всемогущий Аллах говорит: «А Он каждый день занят делом» (Священный Коран, сура «Ар-Рахман», 29). И византийцу ничего не оставалось делать, как поверженному и униженному возвратиться в родной город. Мальчик же вырос и стал одним из самых выдающихся ученых Ислама. Всемогущий Аллах благословил его особой мудростью и глубоким пониманием религии. Ребенка звали Абу Ханифа (да будет Аллах доволен им). |

Once the ruler of Byzantium decided to send his messenger to Baghdad, ordering him to ask the Muslims three questions. Having reached the city, the messenger asked to convey to the caliph that he had brought news from the distant ruler. Upon learning of this, the Muslim ruler ordered him to be skipped.
Entering the palace, the messenger said that he had three difficult questions for Muslims. In fact, in this way he challenged the entire Islamic society.
Then the alarmed caliph ordered to convene all the scientists of the city at his palace. The messenger climbed the high platform and said: “I have come to you with three questions. If you can answer them, the Byzantine ruler will shower you with a myriad of wealth. Here they are: “What happened before Allah?”, “Where does Allah look?”, “What is Allah doing at the moment?”
Hearing such questions, the crowd of sages remained silent (it is known that even posing the question in this way is unacceptable for Islamic dogma) ... But suddenly a thin voice was heard among the crowd: “Oh dear papa, can I answer them? I think after my words the stranger will shut up. ”
It was the voice of a boy who came to a meeting with his father. He also asked the caliph for permission to keep his word, and when the ruler allowed him to speak, the Byzantine turned to the young Muslim, repeating his first question:
"What happened before Allah?"
The boy answered this with a question:
“Can you count?”
“Yes,” the man said.
"Then count back from ten!"
The Roman began to count:
“Ten, nine, eight ...” until he got to “one” and stopped.
“Well, so, what next, after one?” The boy asked.
“After the unit, there is nothing, this is the last digit,” the Byzantine was surprised.
“If there is nothing after the arithmetic unit, how could you think that something could be in front of the One, which is the Absolute Truth, Omnipresent, Infinite - the First, Last, Manifest, Hidden?” - exclaimed the child.
The stranger did not expect to get such a direct answer, which he was unable to refute. Then he asked his second question: “Tell me, in which direction is Allah looking”?
“Bring the candle, light it,” the boy answered, “and tell me in which direction her light is looking.”
“But the light of the flame of the candle looks in all directions: north, south, west, east ... He does not look in any one direction,” the man was amazed.
Hearing this, the male exclaimed: “If physical light spreads in all four directions, and you cannot answer in which specific direction he is looking, what do you expect from Allah - the Light of Heaven and Earth? The Light above the Light, Allah looks in all directions at all times. ”
The Byzantine could not believe his eyes: in front of him was a little boy answering his questions in such a way that he had nothing to say to him in refutation ... Desperate, he was prepared to ask him the last question, but the young man got ahead of him.
"Wait! He suggested. “You are the one who asks questions, and I am the one who answers them.” It would be fair if you stood where I stood, and I stood in the place where you stand now, so that the answers are heard as well as the questions. " This seemed to the stranger convincing, and he went down from the rostrum on which he stood, and the boy ascended to her.
Then the man repeated his last question: "Tell me what Allah is doing now?" The boy proudly replied: “Now, when Allah found a liar and a mocker of Islam on this high platform, he made him come down, humiliating him in front of everyone. As for the one who believes in the Oneness of Allah, he lifted him and put the truth in his mouth. Almighty Allah says: “And He is busy every day with work” (Holy Quran, Sura Ar-Rahman, 29).
And the Byzantine had no choice but to return to his hometown, defeated and humiliated. The boy grew up and became one of the most prominent scholars of Islam.
Almighty Allah blessed him with special wisdom and a deep understanding of religion. The child's name was Abu Hanifa (may Allah be pleased with him).
