To the town of Agua Fria rode a stranger one fine day
Hardly spoke to folks around him didn`t have too much to say
No one dared to ask his business no one dared to make a slip
for the stranger there amongst them had a big iron on his hip
    Big iron on his hip

It was early in the morning when he rode into the town
He came riding from the south side slowly lookin` all around
He`s an outlaw loose and running came the whisper from each lip
And he`s here to do some business with the big iron on his hip
    Big iron on his hip

In this town there lived an outlaw by the name of Texas Red
Many men had tried to take him and that many men were dead
He was vicious and a killer though a youth of twenty four
And the notches on his pistol numbered one an nineteen more
    One and nineteen more

Now the stranger started talking made it plain to folks around
Was an Arizona ranger wouldn`t be too long in town
He came here to take an outlaw back alive or maybe dead
And he said it didn`t matter he was after Texas Red
    After Texas Red

Wasn`t long before the story was relayed to Texas Red
But the outlaw didn`t worry men that tried before were dead
Twenty men had tried to take twenty men had made a slip
Twenty one would be the ranger with the big iron on his hip
    Big iron on his hip

The morning passed so quickly it was time for them to meet
It was twenty past eleven when they walked out in the street
Folks were watching from their windows everybody held their breath
They knew this handsome ranger was about to meet his death
    About to meet his death

There was forty feet between them when they stopped to make their play
And the swiftness of the ranger is still talked about toda

One fine day a stranger came to the town of Agva Fria.
He hardly spoke to anyone, because there was not much he could say.
No one dared to ask him about business, no one made such a mistake,
Because the stranger had a big cannon at his hip
    Large cannon on the hip.

It was early morning when he entered the city.
He drove from the south, slowly looking around.
A whisper was heard from all lips that he was an escaped bandit,
And here he has business with a big gun on his hip
With a big gun on his hip.

There was a robber named Red Texan in town.
Many tried to catch him and many were killed.
He was a vicious murderer, while a youth of twenty-four,
And on his pistol there were marks 1 and 19 more,
    1 and 19 more.

When the stranger spoke, he made it clear to everyone
That he's an Arizona ranger and won't stay in town for long.
He came here to take the bandit dead or alive.
And he said it was nothing special about him hunting a Red Texan,
    Behind the Red Texan.

Soon this story flew to Red Texan,
But the criminal did not move: all those who had previously tried to grab him died.
Twenty people tried to take him and all twenty failed.
Twenty-first will be a ranger with a big gun on his hip
With a big gun on his hip.

The morning came quickly when it was time for them to meet.
It was eleven twenty when they went outside.
People looked out of the windows with bated breath.
They knew the handsome ranger was about to face his death
    With my death

Forty feet between them when they stopped to play a game
The ranger's quick reaction is still talked about ...
The Red Texan had not had time to pull the pistol out of its holster when a bullet struck him.
And the ranger's target was hit by a big cannon from his hip,
A big cannon off his thigh.

In a moment everything was over, onlookers crowded around
The body of a criminal lying on the ground.
He could have stayed alive, but he made a fatal mistake
Trying to fight a wanderer with a big gun on his hip,
With a big gun on his hip.

    Big gun, big gun
He tried to fight a wanderer with a large cannon on his hip ...

To the town of Agua Fria rode a stranger one fine day
