Andrei Rodionov and Boris Tikhomirov - the Soviet duet in the genre of electronic music. Some of the first musicians in the Soviet Union, who used a personal computer for writing experimental computer music, and the first domestic musicians who released a disk with such music. Their joint work "Pulse 1" with the author's name of the album is a "musical computer". When creating an album, the following equipment was used: Yamaha CX-5M computer, Yamaha DX7 synthesizers, Roland Jupiter 4, ROLAND TR-909 Drum Machine.

The records included in the series "Sport and Music", in which the albums "Rhythmic gymnastics", as well as "pulse 1" and "pulse 2", "Pulse 3". Unlike the plate "Rhythmic gymnastics", the albums "Pulse" contain purely tool music.

With all the popularity of the album "Musical Computer" of information about his authors on the Internet, quite a little - in fact, only the same Kutsaya article on Wikipedia, from which it is known, for example, that Andrei and Boris - programmers by profession - one of the first in the Soviet Union was used Personal computer for writing music. About Rodionov, however, there is more data more: he wrote at the end of the 80th soundtrack to a multicore maker from the "Merry Carousel" series (specifically, to this, called "Game"), as well as four computer games , among which the Soviet version of Star Trek and the dilogy about a certain major pistolie; he was once his personal, now not functioning, the site on which, probably, it was possible to find some more detailed information about both a duet and their records.
The plate that received the double name "Pulse 1. Musical Computer" is the first experience of the collaboration of Rodionova and Tikhomirov, and at the same time the first of the albums of the Pulse series, which also included albums of Latvian Zigmar Latvian and the Arsenal ensemble, and created Especially for musical accompaniment of the "rhythmic gymnastics and other sports activities" (on the cover under the title inscription, the attack "Sports and music" is well noticeable). Despite the experimental, let's say, the color of the music of the Soviet duet, it sounds very easily and accessible and is a pro-Western such computer, with quick-memorable, "sawn" melodies, the instrumental synti-pop era of electronic wristwatches (although with a strong desire can even be detected here and notes of some chicago proto-house). And under it, in general, it is really convenient to engage in this very rhythmic gymnastics. Two years later, after the 'pulse', in 1987, Rodionova with Tikhomirov came out the second album - '512 Kbyte'. For some reason, neither the other albums have not yet been reprinted on the CD, but it seems not forgotten. In any case, the digital (or, more precisely, the analog) 'baroque' did not sound so long ago in one of the sports programs.
