To the chief Musician. On Shoshannime. A Psalm of David.
Save me, O God, for the waters have come up to the soul [my].
I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing; I come into deep waters, and the rapid overflow me.
I am weary of my crying, my throat is dried, mine eyes from my waiting God [my].
They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head; my enemies chasing me wrongfully, are mighty; what I do not robbed, he must pay.
O God! You know my folly, and my sins are not hid from thee.
Do not be ashamed of me, wait on thee, O Lord God of hosts. Do not be ashamed of me looking for you, O God of Israel,
For the sake of Thee I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face.
I have become a stranger to my brethren, and an alien to the sons of my mother,
For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me;
and I cry, my soul with fasting, and that was to my reproach;
and holds itself in place of the sackcloth clothes - and I became a proverb to them;
on I interpret sit in the gate, and the song of the drunkards.
But me, my prayer is unto thee, O Lord; in an acceptable time, O God, according to thy great goodness, hear me in the truth of thy salvation;
me out of the mire, and let me not sink; so I get rid of those who hate me and from the deep waters;
neither let me desire waters, but do not swallow me up, so I do not need to shut her mouth upon a precipice.
Hear me, O Lord, for thy mercy is good; according to the multitude of thy tender mercies turn to me;
And hide not thy face from thy servant, for I am afflicted; answer me speedily;
Draw nigh unto my soul, and redeem it; for the sake of my enemies rescue me.
You know my reproach, my shame, and my shame: my enemies are all before thee.
Reproach hath broken my heart, and I was brought low, waiting for compassion, but there was none - comforters, but I found none.
And they gave me gall to eat, and in thirst my gave me drink vinegar.
Let their table be it network, and peaceful feast their - West;
let their eyes be darkened, that they see not, and make their loins;
Pour out thy fury upon them, and let thy fierce wrath obymet them;
their habitation be desolate, and let there be no people living in tents,
For he whom thou struck, they [still] persecute stung multiply thee.
Add iniquity unto their iniquity, and let them not come into thy righteousness;
yes they are erased from the book of the living and the righteous but not write.
But I am poor and suffering; Your help, God, let me raise.
I will praise the name of God, [my] a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving
and it will please the LORD better than an ox, than a bullock with horns and hoofs.
They will see [it], and rejoice in the suffering. And your heart shall live that seek God,
For the Lord hears the poor, and despiseth not his prisoners.
praise him heaven and earth, the sea and everything that moves in them;
For God will save Zion, will build the cities of Judah, and dwell there, and inherit it,
, and the offspring of his servants shall him and love his name shall dwell therein.
